<p><em><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">WALLINGFORD - Eleanor (Blydenburgh) Dickinson-Borrup of Wallingford died March 7, 2022 at Masonicare in Wallingford. Born in Hartford, daughter of Lucy and Raymond G. Blydenburgh who predeceased her at the ages of 100 and 101 respectively. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Ralph and Donald Blydenburgh.</span></span></em></p> <p><em><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">Eleanor was educated in the West Hartford school system, graduating from William H. Hall High School. She attended Virginia Intermont College, Bristol, VA, graduated from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY and received a Liberal Arts Degree from the University of Hartford. In 1942, she married Raymond C. Dickinson and became a resident of Rocky Hill; was elected to the GOP Town Committee and to the Board of Education to serve from 1952-56.</span></span></em></p> <p><em><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">As a divorcee she moved with her son Ralph B. Dickinson to Andover where she was a member of the GOP Town Committee. As Eleanor Dickinson, she was employed for six years as a copywriter, women&#39;s program director and radio personality by Norwich, CT Radio Station WICH. In May 1966, after WICH was sold, she joined The Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford where she worked for 14 years in the Public Information and Advertising Department, retiring in 1980. She is the past president and a Life Member of the Advertising Club of Connecticut and a member of the First Congregational Church of Wallingford. Her husband, Kenneth J. Borrup, whom she married in 1970, predeceased her in March of 2005.</span></span></em></p> <p><em><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">She is survived by her son Ralph B. Dickinson and his wife Melody of Washington State and a nephew, Raymond G.
