<p>Clara May Murrell Hadley Pierce, of Somerset, formerly of Russell Springs, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Somerwoods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Somerset. She was 82 years of age.</p> <p>Born on September 28, 1939, in Russell County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Dalton and Velma Popplewell Murrell. Clara was a former factory worker for Russell Sportswear, a former waitress, and a member of French Valley United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking.</p> <p>Survivors include her two sons, Ricky (and Cheryl) Hadley of Russell Springs, and Roger Hadley of Jabez; one brother, Leon (and Margaret) Murrell of Russell Springs; one sister, Bonnie (and Carson) Rexroat of Russell Springs; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.</p> <p>In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Pierce; her son, Rodney Hadley; and her sister, Janet Diaz.</p> <p>A graveside service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Hale Cemetery, with Brother Charles Edwards officiating. Burial will follow the service.</p> <p>Clara&rsquo;s funeral arrangements are entrusted to Bernard Funeral Home.
