Edward F. Smarr Edward Freeman Smarr, 69, of Mineral Wells, passed away January 29, 2017 at his residence under the loving care of his family and Amedisys Hospice. He was born near Pennsboro, WV, May 13, 1947 a son of Charles E. Smarr of Walker and the late Wilma Doreen Hoalcraft Smarr. Edward graduated from Parkersburg High School. He owned and operated Ed's Place specializing in auto parts. He enjoyed bowling, darts, pool and traveling. Edward was a member of the Walker United Methodist Church. In addition to his father, Edward is survived by his son Edward A. Smarr and wife Ranessa, six brothers Elden, Charles Burt, David, Jerry, Lewis, Rodney, sister Nancy Morris and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, Edward was preceded in death by his twin brothers Argil and Alfred. The funeral service will be 11:00 am Thursday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Rufus Hoalcraft officiating. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 on Wednesday.
