Alan L. Harlock, 52, passed away March 13, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Alan was born in Colchester, England and came to Akron as a young boy. After attending Firestone High School, he completed his apprenticeship in the late 80s to become a carpenter, working for over 30 years and was a proud member of the Local 373. He was a hardworking man and was devoted to his family, especially to his children. Alan loved cars and motorcycles, especially his Harley Road Glide and his '92 Mazda Miata. He liked fishing and going for a drive to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature, but mostly he enjoyed the beach.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Becky (Berkner); children Emma & Derek; parents Kenneth & Janet; siblings Neil (Karen) and Karen (Giaimo) Jensen; sisters-in-law Beth (Jeff) Jones & Bonny Berkner; nieces & nephews; and many other loved ones.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 19 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Road (corner of Massillon and Steese roads, entrance off Steese) where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM. Interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Emma and Derek Harlock via a checking account in Becky Harlock's name.
