<p>Douglas- Elaine V. (Jabrocki) Ballou, 83, of the Linwood Mill Apartments, passed away Fri. March 11, 2022 at Milford Hospital after an illness. Her husband of 52 years, Justin S. &ldquo;Bud&rdquo; Ballou died March 24, 2010.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;She is survived by several in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Born in Whitinsville, MA on June 28, 1938 she was the daughter of Andrew and Adelle (Duprey) Jabrocki and lived in Douglas most of her life.</p> <p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Mrs. Ballou owned and operated J. Ballou Lumber and Sawmill in Douglas with her husband, She was a 1956 graduate of Douglas Memorial High School. She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting, puzzles, and spending time with her friends. She was involved with the Girl Scouts in her younger years and was a member of St Denis Church.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;At her request, there will not be any calling hours, and burial in St. Denis Cemetery will be held at a later date convenient to her family.&nbsp;In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to: St. Jude Children&rsquo;s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. Douglas- Elaine V. (Jabrocki) Ballou, 83, of the Linwood Mill Apartments, passed away Fri. March 11, 2022 at Milford Hospital after an illness. Her husband of 52 years, Justin S. “Bud” Ballou died March 24, 2010.

     She is survived by several in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Born in Whitinsville, MA on June 28, 1938 she was the daughter of Andrew and Adelle (Duprey) Jabrocki and lived in Douglas most of her life.

      Mrs. Ballou owned and operated J. Ballou Lumber and Sawmill in Douglas with her husband, She was a 1956 graduate of Douglas Memorial High School.
