Surrounded by family, Peter Kehler, age 93, of Manitou, Manitoba, passed away peacefully into eternal life in the early hours of Friday March 11, 2022, at the Pembina Manitou Health Centre.

Peter is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Betty, of 71 years; his son Cliff (Suzanne – David (Kristy), Shawn (Helen), and Annette (Randy)); his two daughters, Doris (son Jim), and Frances (Raymond – Simone (Travis) and Janelle)). He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, as well as siblings: Elsie, Mary, Ruth and Norman, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Susana Kehler, his son-in-law Craig Wood, and several brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Peter was born in Winkler, Manitoba, on February 19th, 1929. He married his sweetheart, Elizabeth, on July 1st, 1950. They were blessed with three children, and eventually moved to and settled in Manitou, Manitoba, where they resided until his passing. Peter was a hard worker and loved his family beyond compare. After he retired, Pete enjoyed road trips with his wife Betty, to visit family and friends. He also became an avid curler and spent time doing yard work and gardening with his wife. He loved getting together with friends to enjoy many evenings of cards, games and refreshments. His warm endearing smile, witty personality, and welcoming nature will be remembered by all who knew him.
