DURHAM - Robin Gail Hunter, 69, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends. She was the beloved wife of Robert Keith Hunter of 48 treasured years.  Robin was born in Southington, CT on May 6, 1952, a daughter to the late Howard Ernest Swatkins and Charlotte Rose (Germaine) Swatkins.  Robin spent countless summers at the cabin in Vermont with family and friends where she loved to garden, tend to the cows, entertain the neighborhood children and have her favorite cocktail while watching the sunset sitting by the flagpole.  Robin was a devoted member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Wallingford where she enjoyed participating in multiple church functions.  She will be missed dearly by countless friends and family.
Besides her devoted husband, Robin is survived by her son, Jesse Hunter and his wife Jennifer as well as her sister, Pamela Swatkins.  In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother, Dale Swatkins.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 65 N. Main Street, Wallingford.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robin's name to the Smilow Cancer Center.  Final arrangements have been entrusted to the B.C.
