Mr. Charles H. Peacock, 91 of Lewistown, MO. passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022 at his home under Hospice Care surrounded by his children and his adopted granddaughter Nicole and daughter Debra.

The son of Charles Ferdinand and Anke Taletta Peacock was born on February 28, 1930 in Ewing, Missouri.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and Navy.

Charles was united in marriage to Anna Marie Murphy in September 12 of 1953 at Keokuk, Iowa and they were married 57 years prior to her death in November 2010.

Charles was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church of Ewing, Missouri, Lifetime Member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4083, Lewis County Memorial Post #578, American Legion of Lewistown., and the Missouri Farm Bureau. He adored his wife with all his being, farming, sharing life lessons and experiences, and was a devoted dad and grandpa.

He is survived by his nine children, Norene Kelley of Charleston, S.C., Charles Henry Peacock, Jr. & wife Sue of Kirksville, Missouri., James Roy Peacock & wife Melissa of Quincy, IL., Michael Lee Peacock of Roca, NE., Karen Ann Behel & husband Mark of Harvest, AL., John Fitzgerald Peacock & wife Deborah of Pensacola, FL., Linda Herdrich & husband Roger of Montgomery, IL., Craig Steven Peacock & wife Shenna of Lewistown, MO. and Larry Dean Peacock of Lewistown, MO.; twenty-one grandchildren; forty-six great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Furdean Robert, Robey Tulley, and Claude Melvin Peacock.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, January 21, 2022 at 2:30 PM at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ewing, Mo. led by Father Rob Fields.  Burial will be in Queen of Peace Cemetery at Ewing with military honors by Lewis County Memorial Post #578,

Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 4 until 8 PM at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Lewistown, MO.  A prayer service will lead the visitation.

Memorials may be made to the Queen of Peace Catholic Church or Hospice of Northeast Missouri.
