Ken McDill Obituary <br><br>Born in La Mesa, CA in 1959, Ken McDill graduated from Grossmont High School in 1978 and San Diego State University in 1988. From there he went on to work in education for over thirty years. He helped found the Pathways program at Diamond Bar High School, which connects students with mentors at local businesses. In 2005, he became a Grade Level Coordinator at Walnut High School and helped countless students navigate their high school years and apply to college. <br>Ken had a lifelong love of sports, playing football, basketball, baseball, and soccer. Later, he cheered on his children in their own sports endeavors. He also had a passion for cooking and loved to host gatherings for his family and friends. Ken was known for his outgoing personality and genuine interest in getting to know and help others.<br>He leaves behind his parents, Ben and Ruth McDill, siblings Kim Morris, Kelly Smith and Mark McDill, loving wife Lisa McDill, children Amy Bush, Zach McDill, Scott McDill, and son-in-law Matt Bush. <br>A public memorial will be held at Walnut High School Performing Arts Center, 3:30 pm on April 1. Followed by a Mass on April 2, 11 am at Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to The Ken McDill Memorial Fund at Walnut High School. Condolences may be sent to Murrieta Valley Funeral Home.
