Larry L. "Chiz" Scott

<p>Larry L. &ldquo;Chiz&rdquo; Scott Jr., 48, of Butler, formerly of Petrolia, died of natural causes Sunday afternoon, March 6, 2022 at Butler Memorial Hospital.</p> <p>Larry was born in Butler on May 23, 1973.&nbsp; He was the son Marilyn &ldquo;Faye&rdquo; Snyder Claypoole and the stepson of Ralph A. Claypoole of Petrolia and the son of the late Larry L. Scott Sr.</p> <p>He attended school in Karns City.&nbsp; Larry was a heavy equipment operator and had been a supervisor for Allegheny Minerals.&nbsp; He enjoyed riding his Harley, hunting, fishing, the company of his friends and family, and most especially watching his boys race their dirt bikes.</p> <p>In addition to his mother and stepfather, he is survived by his children, Mogan D. Scott and his wife, Gerrica, of Cabot, Danica F. Scott and her boyfriend, Colin, of Petrolia, twins Zane Michael and Ada Jane Scott of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Caydence, Kendel, Chloe, and Kamdyn; his siblings, William &ldquo;Billy&rdquo; and Christine &ldquo;Chrissy&rdquo; Scott; his stepmother, Cheryl Scott, as well as a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.</p> <p>In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Hunter Scott.</p> <p><strong>Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City, 128 Main St., Karns City, from 5-7 p.m. Thursday.&nbsp; A memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Larry Thompson, pastor of Martinsburg Church of Bruin, officiating.&nbsp; Interment will be in Bear Creek Cemetery, Petrolia.&nbsp; Condolences and donations to help defray expenses may be sent by visiting www.hilefh.com.</strong></p>

Larry L. “Chiz” Scott Jr., 48, of Butler, formerly of Petrolia, died of natural causes Sunday afternoon, March 6, 2022 at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Larry was born in Butler on May 23, 1973.  He was the son Marilyn “Faye” Snyder Claypoole and the stepson of Ralph A. Claypoole of Petrolia and the son of the late Larry L. Scott Sr.

He attended school in Karns City.  Larry was a heavy equipment operator and had been a supervisor for Allegheny Minerals.  He enjoyed riding his Harley, hunting, fishing, the company of his friends and family, and most especially watching his boys race their dirt bikes.
