<p>David J. Rooks, known to some as "Round Man" and "Big Daddy" died Saturday, March 5, 2022, at his residence.</p> <p>Born in Vienna, he was the son of the late Lonnie Thurston Rooks and Anna Louise Brown Rooks. Before becoming disabled, David had worked at Noble Gin. He was a hard worker and a loyal employee. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.</p> <p>Survivors include:<br /> Wife: Marlaine "Molly" Taylor Rooks of Vienna</p> <p>Step-Children:<br /> Margaret Charlene Taylor of Vienna<br /> Brittany Nicole Adkins of Vienna<br /> Charles Kellis Taylor of Macon</p> <p>Sisters:<br /> Katherine Rooks of Vienna<br /> Brenda Payne of Abbeville</p> <p>Step-Grandchildren:<br /> Yakira Taylor of Vienna<br /> Ethan Lester of Vienna</p> <p>Several nieces and nephews also survive.</p> <p>His sister, Martha Rooks Wade, preceded him in death.</p> <p>A visitation will be held 5 - 7 PM Tuesday, March 8 at the funeral home.</p> <p>The family requests donations be made to Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home to help defray expenses.</p> <p>Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna has charge of arrangements.</p>Obituary
