William R. Shepard

<p>William R. Shepard, age 71, of McClure, passed away Friday evening March 4, 2022 at St. Luke&rsquo;s Hospital in Maumee.&nbsp; He was born on February 5, 1951 to the late Roland &amp; Alice (Williams) Shepard.&nbsp; After graduating from Otsego High School he entered the U.S Navy where he proudly served his nation during the Vietnam War.&nbsp; Bill worked as a computer testing technician for 20 years with IBM in New York before relocating back to Ohio and retiring from Amcor in Napoleon.&nbsp; In his earlier years he enjoyed Karate, running and the craft of Macrame.&nbsp; As grandchildren entered his life, they became the focus of his love, time and devotion.&nbsp; He is survived by his daughters, Happy Brooks of Bowling Green, Ohio and Macy (Will) Cousineau of Chatham, Illinois; grandchildren, Olivia Columber, Addyson Brooks, Sindija Cousineau, Linda Cousineau, Ieva Cousineau and Finley Cousineau; sisters, Mary (KD) Garmenn and Jane (Jim) Smith; sister-in-law, Mary Shepard; nieces and nephews.&nbsp; Along with is parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Robert G. Shepard in 2019.&nbsp; There will be no public services and interment will be private for the family at Hockman Cemetery in McClure.&nbsp; Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Cherry Street Mission, 1501 Monroe St, Toledo, Ohio 43604 in his memory.&nbsp; Online condolences may be sent to the family through our website at <u><a href="http://www.barnesfuneralchapel.com/">www.barnesfuneralchapel.com</a></u>.&nbsp; Arrangements were entrusted to Barnes Funeral Chapel, Delta.</p>
