<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Philomene V. Babiak, 93 of Northern Cambria, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 20, 2022, at the Embassy of Hillsdale Park.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; She was born June 23, 1928, in Burnsville, a daughter to the late Daniel and Minnie (Goaziou) LeGars. She married Walter F. Babiak on September 11, 1948. He preceded her in death on December 20, 2009. Also preceded in death by brothers, Henry and Albert LeGars, sisters, Jane Nagle, Marie Estes, Rose Swansboro, and Loretta Martoia.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Surviving are children, Diane (Robert) Hall, Northern Cambria, Janice (Leon) Lechene, Cherry Tree, and Walter (Colleen) Babiak, Patton; grandchildren Lori (Joseph) Onufro, Lisa (Tim) Nagle, Tara (Cody) Keith and Walter Babiak; great-grandchildren Brittnee (Kenny) Wetzel, Alyssa Walters, Joshua (Emma Hasson) Walters; Zakari and Zander Nagle, Alyvia Shutty, Logan and Torunn Keith, Liam and Adrianna; she was also blessed with fifth generation of great granddaughters, Ellieana Fox and Natalee Wetzel; &nbsp;sister, Caroline (Jack) Turik; &nbsp;brother, Richard (Judy) LeGars; sister in law, Mary Jane LeGars; her beloved dog Suzie Q and numerous nieces and nephews.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She retired from Fishers Big Wheel where she made many lifelong friends.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; She was a member of Tuesday Night Moonlighters Bowling League and looked forward to local and state tournaments.&nbsp; She loved to travel, shopping, yard sales, visiting people and going out for lunch always looking her best. Philomene looked forward to Christmas Eve when everyone came to her house. She was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.</p> <p>Friends will be received Thursday, February 24, 2022, from 4-8 p.m. at Barrett Funeral Home, Northern Cambria. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 25, 2022, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father Jerimiah Lange officiating. Interment&nbsp;at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Cemetery.&nbsp;</p>

               Philomene V. Babiak, 93 of Northern Cambria, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 20, 2022, at the Embassy of Hillsdale Park.

               She was born June 23, 1928, in Burnsville, a daughter to the late Daniel and Minnie (Goaziou) LeGars. She married Walter F. Babiak on September 11, 1948.                Surviving are children, Diane (Robert) Hall, Northern Cambria, Janice (Leon) Lechene, Cherry Tree, and Walter (Colleen) Babiak, Patton; grandchildren Lori (Joseph) Onufro, Lisa (Tim) Nagle, Tara (Cody) Keith and Walter Babiak; great-grandchildren Brittnee (Kenny) Wetzel, Alyssa Walters, Joshua (Emma Hasson) Walters; Zakari and Zander Nagle, Alyvia Shutty, Logan and Torunn Keith, Liam and Adrianna; she was also blessed with fifth generation of great granddaughters, Ellieana Fox and Natalee Wetzel;  sister, Caroline (Jack) Turik;  brother, Richard (Judy) LeGars; sister in law, Mary Jane LeGars; her beloved dog Suzie Q and numerous nieces and nephews.

               Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She retired from Fishers Big Wheel where she made many lifelong friends.

               She was a member of Tuesday Night Moonlighters Bowling League and looked forward to local and state tournaments.  She loved to travel, shopping, yard sales, visiting people and going out for lunch always looking her best.
