Mary Uhernik

<p>Formerly of Ambridge - 94, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Country Meadows Retirement Communities in Bridgeville, surrounded by her loving daughters. Born in West Aliquippa, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Amelia Vidic. She was a member of Good Samaritan Parish in Ambridge, SNPJ Lodge 33, and KSKJ Lodge 109. She retired from the Phoenix Glass Company in Monaca and then devoted her life to her family. Mary never put herself first, she was always willing to help others. She was a devout Catholic and sang in the Divine Redeemer choir. Surviving are two daughters, Kathy (Jack) Suess of Ellicott City, Maryland, Sandy (Jerome) Boring of Upper St. Clair, three grandchildren, Kyle (Susan Ren) Suess, Columbia, Maryland, Ryan Suess, Los Angeles, and Mitchell Boring, Pittsburgh, two sisters, Jean Grandovic of Sewickley, Anna Mae Vidic of Rochester, one brother, Robert (Bo) of Rochester, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Edward, four brothers, Tony, Felix and Frank Selon, John Vidic, and one sister, Helen Vidic. A private service will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2022, from 9:00 to 10:30 am, in the Kasper Chapel of Alvarez-Hahn Funeral Services and Cremation, LLC, 547 8th Street, Ambridge, followed by a private mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. at Good Samaritan Church in Ambridge. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hopewell. In lieu of flowers, please say a special prayer for our mom.</p>
