<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:24px;"><em><strong>Joseph Abram Glycenfer Jr., 95, of Harding, died at home Friday evening, Feb. 4, 2022.</strong></em></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:24px;"><em><strong>Born in West Pittston, he was the son of the late Joseph Abram Sr. and Marguerite Glycenfer and was a 1944 graduate of West Pittston High School.</strong></em></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:24px;"><em><strong>Joseph worked as a carpenter, remodeling many homes in the area and enjoyed spending time with family, camping and fishing. Joseph was also a 50-plus year member of Trinity Episcopal Church, West Pittston; a member of Valley Lodge No. 499; the Free and Accepted Masons, West Pittston (54-plus years); and a member of the Irem Temple Shrine, Dallas (53-plus years), where he was also past president of the Stagecrafters (1973).</strong></em></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:24px;"><em><strong>He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Ila Elgene Glycenfer (Benscoter); children, John (Francie) Glycenfer, Fort Collins, Colo.; William Glycenfer, Pottstown; Robert Glycenfer, West Pittston; Jeanne Marie (Bradley) Scovell, Vestel, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.</strong></em></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:24px;"><em><strong>A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday from Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St., Larksville. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until service time.</strong></em></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p>

Joseph Abram Glycenfer Jr., 95, of Harding, died at home Friday evening, Feb. 4, 2022.

 

Born in West Pittston, he was the son of the late Joseph Abram Sr. and Marguerite Glycenfer and was a 1944 graduate of West Pittston High School.

 

Joseph worked as a carpenter, remodeling many homes in the area and enjoyed spending time with family, camping and fishing. Joseph was also a 50-plus year member of Trinity Episcopal Church, West Pittston; a member of Valley Lodge No. 499; the Free and Accepted Masons, West Pittston (54-plus years); and a member of the Irem Temple Shrine, Dallas (53-plus years), where he was also past president of the Stagecrafters (1973).
