Utica, NY: Mrs. Deborah M. (Lippelt) Durso, 65, passed away
Unexpectedly, Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at her home. She was born in
Liberty, NY, May 8, 1956, daughter of the late Henry and Evelyn (Roser)
Lippelt. Debbie was raised and received her education in Liberty, NY, graduating
from Liberty High School, Class of 1974.
In the summer of 1975, Debbie met Raymond A. Durso at a carnival and
on August 18, 1977 they were united in marriage. The couple shared in a union
blessed with more than forty-four years of marriage, five children, and one grandchild.
Debbie held positions with ACS, Met-Life, various banks, and most
recently at American Automobile Association (AAA), culminating in a customer
service career of over 25 years.
Debbie enjoyed crafting, painting, crocheting, and general handiwork. She
often made special items for friends and family. The kindness and genuine love
she shared with her family was admirable and of great support. She will always
be remembered for the compassion and devotion she so effortlessly displayed.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Ray; two daughters and a son-
in-law, SusanMarie and James Bridenbecker, originally of Utica, and LynnMarie
Durso, of Rome; three sons and a daughter-in-law, John Paul and Jacqueline
Durso, of Utica, Raymond Anthony Durso, of Whitesboro, and Michael Adam
Durso, of Utica; a granddaughter, Eanna Assunta Durso, of Utica; a step-father,
Edward Lagarde, of Callicoon, NY; a sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Richard
Winters, of Liberty, NY; and a brother, Albert Lippelt, of RI. She is also survived
by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and in-laws,
Mariano and Elisa Durso, of Utica, and Anthony Durso, of Rome. She was
preceded in death by a brother, Hank Lippelt.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday February 23rd, 4-6 p.m., at Adrean
Funeral Service, Inc., 700 Rutger St., Utica (at Matt Funeral Home). Relatives and
friends are respectfully invited to attend her Mass of Catholic Burial, Thursday, February 24th, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary of Mount Carmel/Blessed
Sacrament Parish, 648 Jay St., Utica. Interment will follow at St. Agnes
Cemetery, in Utica.
