Stephen M Murphy, 73, of Bethel CT, passed away February 19th, 2022.

Stephen is survived by his Son Steve Murphy (Heather)  and his daughter Tara Murphy Hartigan  (John) . He was a loving grandfather to his four grandchildren James, Charlotte, Katie and Colin .  Loving Brother of Loretta (David) Stotter and Dennis (Kathy) Murphy. He is also survived by his nephew Brian, niece Chelsea and many cousins. Stephen was predeceased in passing by his parents Mary & Dennis Murphy.

Stephen was a Proud Veteran of the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals. He worked for over 30 years for Canada Dry /Pepsi Bottling Company as a Production Manager. He made many life long friends while at Pepsi in College Point Queens NY.  Stephen had a black belt in Shotokan and trained in martial arts weapons.

Stephen will be remembered for his love and dedication to his family.

The family will receive friends at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, CT Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 6:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, Bethel on Monday, February 28. 2022 at 10:00 AM. Burial with military honors will be at Middletown State Veteran's Cemetery, Middletown, CT at 1:00 PM.
