EUNICE~It is with great sadness that the family of Thelma Leger announces her passing on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at the Acadian Medical Center in Eunice at the age of 82. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 18, 2022, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Bellvue Cemetery with Father Hampton Davis, Celebrant.

       Thelma enjoyed cooking and spending time with her sisters and family, especially with her grandchildren. She always enjoyed getting together with her lady friends and classmates for lunches and outings. Thelma will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her son, Mike Leger and wife, Angie of Eunice; her sister, Mary Andrepont and husband, Wayne of Port Arthur, TX; her five grandchildren, Christina Hebert, Greg Leger, Jr., Jeremy Leger, Kathryn Leger, and Camille Leger; seven great grandchildren, Jackson Hebert, Spencer Hebert, Zoe Hebert, Trey Leger, Bella Leger, Wyatt Leger, and Olivia Leger; as well as extended family and friends. The family would also like to especially thank the staff of Oaklane Wellness and Rehabilitation for their care, kindness and compassion shown to Thelma and her family, as well as Acadian Medical Center for their compassionate and medical care.

     She is preceded in death by her husband, Remi Leger; parents, Ernest and Alice Venable Savoy; son, Greg Leger, Sr.; siblings, Raymond Savoie, Pearl Sebastien, Wilma McDaniel, Roma Blanchard, Aaron Savoy, and Sandra Matte; and a grandson-in-law, CPO Edward Hebert.

     At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, February 18th from 9:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be prayed at 12:30 pm.
