Sharon Thomas Obituary

Sharon E. Thomas 65 years old, who was called to heaven on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God and the love and prayers of family, friends and many supporters carried her through. Sharon was born on November 13, 1949 in Manhattan, NY to Martha Holley. The oldest of 3 beautiful girls, her sisters, Barbara Walker, Susan Holley and 3 brothers, Kevin Nahrwold, Robert Nahrwold and Arthur Holley. Sharon grew up in Clifton, NJ where she took on the responsibility at a young age to take care of her siblings. She later moved to Passaic, NJ where she met Gorge Plummer and was blessed with the birth of their beautiful daughter, Tia Marie Rebekah Plummer. Sharon met and married Rene Albizu November 11, 1988. Sharon worked for Medical Personnel Pool in Saddle Brook, NJ. She later began a career with Budget Car Rental which eventually led her to owning her own location in Hackensack, NJ. Known for her ease in frequent conversation with even total strangers, Sharon had a unique way with people. She possessed a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor. Sharon or as many of her loved ones called her "Sha or Sha Sha" was hardworking and honest. Not to mention her love for music and dancing. Throughout her life she maintained a genuine demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many who even now are being changed by her witness of constant nurturing love and faith. In addition to her raising Tia, Sharon has nurtured and cared for numerous people that she calls her" kids" and they called her "Ma" in return. Her home was a house of love. If you were hungry she made sure you ate until you fell out on her couch. If you were down and out she opened her doors and told you to stay until you got your feet back on the ground. She would tell you it doesn't matter how long it would take you. If you needed a job she would hire you in a heartbeat. If you were sad she would tell you some of her life experiences of her own and say it will be ok. If someone did you wrong she ask where they were so she could kick their you know what. Don't let her height fool you. Sha was one tough cookie. She gave you tough love. There was no getting anything past her. And if you tied that's when she gave you the "tough" before giving you her unconditional love. Sharon is survived by her husband Rene Albizu, daughter, Tia Marie Rebekah Plummer, step-daughter, Marisol Albizu and step-son, Rene Albizu Jr., son-in-law, Hamid Shabazz, sister-in-law, Susan Holley, brothers, Kevin Nahrwold, Robert Nahrwold and Arthur Holley, nieces, Michelle, Tiffany, Ebonie, Tatiana, Youlanda (Jolie), Sheena and Hemuden, Nephews, John, Richard, James, Michael, Angel, Rich, Anthony and Hiram, great-nieces, and nephews, Jeremiah, Zahkai, Yahzir, Nyla, Brooklyn, Stella, Kylee and Klara, grandchildren, Chirs, Joel and Infiniti (Fin), her best friends, Carol, Penny and Karen and a host of many friends.
