Douglas- Dorothy L. (Michna) Harris, 76, of Depot St.passed away peacefully on Tues. Feb. 8, 2022 at Lanessa Extended Care in Webster. 
     She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Wendell C. “Chuck” Harris; her 3 children, Robert P. Sullivan and his wife Bonny of Webster, Michael J. Sullivan and his wife Kelly of Douglas, Lori B. Winchell and her husband Scott of Douglas, and a step daughter, Meaghan Schlott and her husband Jason of Reading, PA; 7 grandchildren, Nicole Housman, Ryan Sullivan, Michael Sullivan, Nick Winchell, Matthew Sullivan, Kaitlin Sullivan, Owen Winchell; 4 step-grandchildren, Owen and Oliviann Paislee Schlott, Anthony and Mackenzie Winchell; a great-granddaughter, Lyla Marie Housman; a brother, Kenneth and his wife Pam Michna of Douglas; and several nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late John D. “Jack” Michna. Born in Northbridge, MA on Nov. 18, 1945 she was daughter of the late John M. and Genevieve F. (Wojtalik) Michna and lived in Douglas all her life.
 
     Primarily a homemaker, caring for her husband and children, Dotty also worked at AC Tech in Uxbridge, Lenny’s Liquors in Millbury, Sir Loin Catering and Campys Deli both in Worcester. A graduate of Douglas Memorial High School, Class of 1964, she was a longtime member of the Singletary Rod and Gun Club. She also served as treasurer for the former Douglas Snowgoers Snowmobile Club. Known as “everyone’s mom”, her door was always open to neighborhood kids. A kind, loving, and generous woman, she loved cooking, gardening, and helping with her grandchildren. Family was most important to Dorothy. 
 
     Her funeral service will be held Mon. Feb. 14 at 11 am in Jackman Funeral Home, 7 Mechanic St., Douglas. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held prior to the service from 9 to 11 am.
