Ronald D. Perry

Ronald D. Perry passed away at his home in Parrish, Florida on Saturday, February 5, 2022 following a seven month battle with cancer. He was 71 years old. Ron was a decorated veteran who served in Alpha Co., 1st BN Seventh Marines in Vietnam. He was the recipient of two purple hearts, a navy commendation with combat V as well as numerous other medals. He was a talented musician who played guitar and keyboards in multiple bands around the Cincinnati area for over 40 years. The entertainer in him never disappeared. His outgoing personality, corny jokes, and kind heart made him a treasured friend to so many. Ron is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathie (Watson) Perry. He was the brother to Robert Perry Jr., Dennis Perry, Connie Birtcil, John Perry, and Christine (Dan) Shannon. He is also survived by his children Pamela Perry, Steven (Samantha) Perry and Melanie Perry; his grandchildren Olive, Nathan, Kyle, Isabella, and Bayani; many wonderful cousins, nieces, and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents Robert Perry Sr. and Hattie B. Perry. A visitation will begin at 11am, with services beginning at 12 Noon, on Friday, February 18th at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, Ohio. Interment with military honors will follow at Plainview Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to gather after the service at Heritage Hall in Goshen for a light lunch as we celebrate the life of this remarkable man. He made an ordinary life extraordinary! In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or to the Gary Sinise Foundation.
