Mrs. Judith Ann (Benchoff) Wise, 77, of Blue Ridge Summit, PA, died Friday, December 11, 2015, as the result of a motor vehicle accident, in Frederick County, MD. Born December 14, 1937 in Cascade, MD, she was the daughter of the late Gladys (Benchoff) Bryant. She lived her early life in the Cascade area and graduated from Smithsburg High School with the class of 1955. She and her husband, the late Ronald P. Wise, were married in Sabillasville, MD. Mr. Wise died on January 31, 1988. In her early life she was an operator for the Telephone Co. in Blue Ridge Summit, then prior to retiring on January 1, 2003, worked for Moore Business Communication Services in Thurmont, MD for 20 years. She was a member of Saint John's United Church of Christ, Sabillasville, Blue Ridge Sportsman's Association, and the National AARP. Mrs. Wise enjoyed baking, reading, and being with her family. She is survived by two sons, Ronald E. Wise and his wife, Cheryl of Chambersburg, PA and Jeffrey P. Wise and his wife, Diane of Carroll Valley, PA; four grandchildren; Elizabeth Barnett, Jennifer High, Amanda Wise, and Benjamin Wise; two twin great-granddaughters; her siblings: John Bryant, Joyce Shaw and Mary Kathryn Whietus, all of Coshocton, OH, and Timothy Bryant of Seattle, WA; special friends, Clair and Linda Watson of Blue Ridge Summit; and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 17, 2015, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Rev. Mike Simane officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Cemetery, Thurmont, MD. According to her wishes, there will be no public viewing. However, the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday evening, in the funeral home.
