<p>MAMOU &ndash; Funeral services will be held at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann&rsquo;s Catholic Church in Mamou on Friday, February 4, 2022, for Margaretta &ldquo;Totsy&rdquo; Jane Fontenot, 73, who passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, in Lafayette, LA.</p> <p>Father Bala Rayapatti will be celebrant of the Mass and conduct funeral services.</p> <p>Burial will take place in New St. Ann&rsquo;s Cemetery.</p> <p>Margaretta &ldquo;Totsy&rdquo; Jane Fontenot was born on September 11, 1948, in Mamou, LA to Albert McCauley and Laura Jane McCauley.&nbsp; &ldquo;Totsy&rdquo; loved horseback riding, dancing, and traveling with family and friends.&nbsp; Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.&nbsp; Her nieces and nephews loved her dearly and thought of her more as like a grandmother.&nbsp; Her family and friends will miss her dearly but rejoice in knowing she is celebrated in heaven.</p> <p>She will be deeply missed by her; brothers, Daniel McCauley and wife, Jenny of Mamou; Billy McCauley and wife, Jo of Carencro; Todd McCauley of Lafayette; and Corey Bordelon and wife, Melissa of Lake Charles; sisters, Paulette Feaster and husband, Jimmy of Kingwood, TX and Rachael Nero and husband, Pat of Ville Platte; six nieces, Kaitlin Ford, Michelle Coons, Chelsea Lavasseur, Emily Bordelon, Kylie Brignac, and Blaire McCauley; seven nephews, Bobby Feaster, Aaron McCauley, Derek McCauley, Cody Brignac, Sam Fontenot, Jacob Bordelon, and Caleb Bordelon; nine great-nieces; six great-nephews; and boyfriend, Burt Kidder. She is also survived by her daughter, Catrice Godchaux and husband, Joe of Opelousas; four grandchildren, Laura Godchaux, Frederick Godchaux, Bella Godchaux, and Ashton Godchaux; 1 Great-Grandchild on the way.</p> <p>She is preceded in death by her mother, Laura Jane Bordelon; father, Albert McCauley; and stepfather, O&rsquo;Ray Bordelon.</p> <p>At the request of the family, visitation will be observed at St. Ann&rsquo;s Catholic Church in Mamou on Friday, February 4, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. MAMOU – Funeral services will be held at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou on Friday, February 4, 2022, for Margaretta “Totsy” Jane Fontenot, 73, who passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, in Lafayette, LA.

Father Bala Rayapatti will be celebrant of the Mass and conduct funeral services.

Burial will take place in New St. Ann’s Cemetery.

Margaretta “Totsy” Jane Fontenot was born on September 11, 1948, in Mamou, LA to Albert McCauley and Laura Jane McCauley.  “Totsy” loved horseback riding, dancing, and traveling with family and friends.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.  Her nieces and nephews loved her dearly and thought of her more as like a grandmother.  Her family and friends will miss her dearly but rejoice in knowing she is celebrated in heaven.

She will be deeply missed by her; brothers, Daniel McCauley and wife, Jenny of Mamou; Billy McCauley and wife, Jo of Carencro; Todd McCauley of Lafayette; and Corey Bordelon and wife, Melissa of Lake Charles; sisters, Paulette Feaster and husband, Jimmy of Kingwood, TX and Rachael Nero and husband, Pat of Ville Platte; six nieces, Kaitlin Ford, Michelle Coons, Chelsea Lavasseur, Emily Bordelon, Kylie Brignac, and Blaire McCauley; seven nephews, Bobby Feaster, Aaron McCauley, Derek McCauley, Cody Brignac, Sam Fontenot, Jacob Bordelon, and Caleb Bordelon; nine great-nieces; six great-nephews; and boyfriend, Burt Kidder.
