Waldemar Arocho

P.O. Waldemar Arocho, 42, passed away on Monday, January 31st, 2022, at University Hospital in Newark, NJ. He was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico and came to Newark in 1988. Waldemar was a Police Officer for the City of Newark where he proudly served his 21year tenure. Beloved son Wilfredo and Carmen (nee Roman) Arocho; devoted and loving father of Angel Arocho and Nairahliz Vega; dear brother of Wilfredo Arocho and his wife Gloria Caballero and Richard Arocho and his wife Evelyn Bosque; cherished uncle of Jonathan, Gabriel, Evan, Kaia and Eva; also survived by many dear relatives, friends and fellow police officers. The Funeral Mass for Waldemar will be held on Tuesday, February 8th at 10:30 am at St. Lucy's Church 118 7th Avenue Newark, NJ 07104. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. The wake will be held on Monday, February 7th from 4- 8 pm at the Buyus Funeral Home 426 Lafayette St., at Wilson, Ave., Newark, NJ 07105
