Georgia J. Andrews, 76, of Elgin, died, Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Gundersen Palmer Lutheran Hospital in West Union. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawkeye with Richard Bonjour officiating. Interment will follow at Hawkeye Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, February 4th at Becker & Son Funeral Home in Hawkeye and for one hour preceding services at the Church on Saturday. Memorials may be made to the family for later designation. Memorials may be mailed to P.O. Box, Sumner, Iowa 50674 to be given to the family. Georgia Janette, daughter of Gilbert and Lucille (Wickham) Welsh was born April 1, 1945, in West Union. She received her early education in the Country Schools, near Elkport, and would complete her education at Country School, near Wadena. In October of 1962, Georgia was married to Ron Heller, Sr. To this union six children were born, Gina, Jackie, Ronnie, Angie, Chris, and Tonja. The couple would later divorce. Georgia was a devoted mother and housemaker for many years. On May 9, 1978, she was united in marriage with Orville Andrews in Arlington, Iowa. Georgia owned and operated the Dusty Dreams Antique Store in Hawkeye and the Dusty Rose Auction House in Oklahoma for many years after her children were grown. In 1980, at Gouldsburg Park, Georgia was baptized in the Seventh Day Adventist Faith. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Hawkeye. Georgia enjoyed music, gardening, cooking, traveling, antiquing, and was extremely talented at remodeling homes. Georgia is survived by her six children, Gina (Steve) Loshman of Calumet, Iowa, Jackie (Darrell) Bowyer of Burleson, Texas, Ronnie Heller, Jr. of West Union, Iowa, Angie (Cory) Chindlund of Des Moines, Iowa, Chris Jones of Fredericksburg, and Tonja (John) Anderson of South Lake, Texas; fifteen grandchildren, including Ashley Kirby, who she helped raise; sixteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Connie (Bill) Paschal of McGregor, Iowa, Carla (Rick) McClanahan of Clever, Missouri, and Ava (Paul) Tucker; close family friends, Denise and Greg Rubner of Arlington; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Orville Andrews on March 26, 2009; and brother, Rod Welsh.
