Anna E. Beckman

Anna E. Beckman, 76, of Jacksonville passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at her home. She was born on June 20, 1945, in Stanley, KY the daughter of Henry G. and Tilda M. Stewart Varble. She married Kenneth J. Beckman on February 9, 1985 in Maringo, IL and he survives. In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Gerald Morse and Kevin Beckman both of Rockford; three daughters, Virginia Morse of Jacksonville, Mary Beckman, and Kristin Johnson of O’Fallon, MO; four grandchildren, Joshua (Emily) Beckman, Matthew (Tiffany) Beckman both of Jacksonville, Eric Laubscher and Kayleigh Johnson both of O’Fallon, MO; seven great grandchildren, Hannah, Zayne, Nick, Eli, Miles, Gage, and Jax; one sister, Vivian Atkinson of Belvidere, IL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Terry Morse and Larry Edward Morse, Jr., along with several brothers and sisters. Throughout Anna’s life she enjoyed playing bingo and bowling where she bowled in many championship leagues. She also enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. She was known for her crafts and beautiful colorings that she would create. She also had a great love for butterflies Most of all she loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. She was a member of First Christian Church where she will be deeply missed by all the children who called her Gram. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 4, 2022, at the First Christian Church. The family will meet relatives and friends from 11:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church Field House/Club House. Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville is in charge of arrangements.
