Larry Griffin Reddeck, 72, husband of Paula Poston Reddeck, died Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at his home in Lake City.

Larry was born on January 13, 1950, in Clinton, SC, son of the late Lawrence Smith “Pinky” Reddeck and Sarah Evelyn “Peggy” Pitts Reddeck.  He was a graduate of Clinton High School and The University of South Carolina Honors College where he received a BA Degree in Political Science and a Juris Doctorate Degree. While at USC he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Fraternity. Larry attended Lake City First Baptist Church where he taught the Abrams and the Lewis Fleniken Sunday School Classes. He was a partner in the Nettles, Turbeville and Reddeck Law Firm, formerly served as chairman of the board at The Carolina Academy and was a member of the Rotary Club and Lions Club. Larry officiated High School Football for over 20 years and in 2008 was inducted in the South Carolina Football Officials Hall of Fame.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Paula Poston Reddeck of Lake City, are his children, Claire (Aaron) Reddeck Bowman of James Island and Lauren (Kyle) Reddeck Smith of Lake City; grandchildren, Aaron Blake Bowman, Jr and Evelyn Claire Smith; sisters-in-law, Dianne A. Reddeck of Clinton and Mary Wallace (Stevie) Phillips of Lake City; brother-in-law, Ronald (Ann) Poston of Lake City.

Larry was preceded in death by a brother, John Michael Reddeck.

Memorial services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Lake City First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at his home, 519 Williams Street, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM, Saturday.
