Ray Kyle Carter, age 69, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022, in his home in Austin, Texas. The Celebration of Life will be held at Copperfield Neighborhood Park, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022.

Kyle was born on September 28, 1952, in Farmington, New Mexico to the late Shirley M. Carnes and Lanham R. Carter. He obtained his high school diploma from Windham School. After that he worked for the family business, Turner Bit Service for many years. He went on to do mill work and cabinet installation all around the Austin area. He was quite the perfectionist. And everyone knew it might take him a long time to complete a job, but it would be nothing short of the best.

Kyle was one of a kind, never met a stranger, and you always knew where you stood with him. He was a firm believer in nothings as good as a man’s word or his handshake. He enjoyed Nascar, and spending time with his family who he greatly loved. He still had big dreams to fill before he left this life.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Brandon Carter, and his grandson, Alec Carter.

He is survived by his wife Kerry Stennett of Austin; Three daughters, Fallon Bowers and husband Andy of Olney, Texas; Salina Carter of Austin, Texas, and Cori Stennett of Haines, Alaska; Three Granddaughters; Erin Fuentes of Austin; Jaylee and Bradi Bowers of Olney; One grandson, Cashton Bowers of Olney; his four-legged faithful companion, Sugar Bear; lots of dear friends & family who will miss him dearly.
