Stanley Milton McLeod, Sr., 64, husband of Cheryl Atkinson McLeod, died Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at MUSC in Charleston.
Born April 3, 1957, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Charles McLeod and the late Bessie Brown McLeod. He was the owner of McLeod Painting Company. Stanley was a devoted husband and father.
Survivors include his wife; children, Brandi M. Sloan (Steve), Stanley “Bubba” McLeod, Jr. (Pam), Daniel McLeod, Stanley “Rooster” McLeod, III (raised by Stanley and Cheryl), and a special son, Jason Capell (Tiffany); grandchildren, Alexis, Mia, D.J., Kaitlyn, Jadin, and Jack McLeod; brothers, Bobby McLeod of Sumter, Skip McLeod (Marianne) of Michigan, and Mike McLeod of Sumter; sisters, Jenny Campbell (Dwight), Betty Brown (Mark), Barbara McLeod, and Alice Pritchard all of Sumter; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Laverne McLeod, and a sister, Ann Barlow.
A memorial gathering will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
