Ramona Sanchez, 97, passed away Jan. 21, 2022. She was born Sept. 16, 1924 in La Junta, CO to Cayetano & Mariana (Alvarez) Soto who precede her in death with her husband, Joseph Albert Sanchez; children, Joseph, Frank, Albert, Roseann; son-in-law, Lawrence Vigil; siblings, Mercy, Vicki, Bascillo, Tony, Jenny; great-grandson, Joey Sanchez; brother-in-law, Raymond Sanchez. She was faithful Catholic, and loved attending and helping in her church. She was President of the Altar Rosary Society; taught catechism. She enjoyed dancing, listening to music, and sewing. She loved her family tradition of making Tamales with her family. She never wanted anyone to leave her home without eating. She was a giver and sharer; always willing to help anyone in need. Above all her family was her world. Ramona leaves to cherish her memory; her daughter, Lucille Vigil; son-in-law, Victor Sena; daughters-in-law, Rose, Ruth, and Theresa; siblings, Marcello (Sadie) Soto and Bennie Soto; grandchildren, Radene, Michael, Stacey, Melissa, Toni, Anthony, Gerald, Gabriel, Adrian, Kim, Jessica; sister-in-laws, Angela Ambriz and Mary Sena; 21 great- grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
