Joan A. Gross, 93, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 8:00 AM at the Kensington. She was born on February 10, 1928 in Bucklin, MO to V.E. and Ina Ashlock Groce. On June 20, 1948 she married Garland E. Gross in Bucklin and he passed away on September 21, 1991. Joan worked at Sheaffer Pen Company in the corporate accounting department and retired after thirty three years of service. She was a member of Union Presbyterian Church where she served as Treasurer. Joan was also a member of NARVE, a sixty year member of Order of Eastern Star and enjoyed reading. She is survived by a niece, Janet (John) Ledford of Dahlonega, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband on one sister, N. Otea Groce Marcusson and a niece Sally Marcusson. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 10:00 AM at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM just prior to the service.
