<p>Gary Bishop, 60 of Salem formerly of Davy, WV passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 as a result of a 4-wheeler accident. He was born July 25, 1961 in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late Donald Jean and Imogene Gillespie Bishop.</p> <p>Gary graduated from Mount View High School, Class of 1979. He served his country in the United States Army. He retired as an electrician. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, anything outdoors and riding his 4-wheeler.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Gary is survived by his loving wife, Joann Elizabeth Morris Mitchell; five children, Kayla Bishop Shumate and husband Timothy, Davy, Jeffrey Morris, Oceana, Diane Cornett and husband Gary, Wayne, Katherine Sanders and husband Howard, Welch, Jacklyn Coleman, Salem; twelve grandchildren, Chloe, Noah, Tyler, Ian, Kyle, Kimmie, Shyann, Gary, Sammie, Howie, Hudson, and Sage; two brothers, Wayne Bishop and wife Freda, Princeton, Russell&nbsp; Bishop and wife Crystal, Seymour, TN; special niece, Amber Hadley and husband Shane, Bluefield and several addition nieces, nephews and cousins.</p> <p>In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by one son, Matthew Kane Bishop; one brother, Brian Bishop; one nephew, Douglas Bishop; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Franklin &ldquo;Joe&rdquo; and Wilma &ldquo;Ann&rdquo; Carter Morris.</p> <p>Davis Funeral Home and Crematory Salem is handling the cremation and honored to serve the Bishop family. &nbsp;Online condolences may be sent to www.davisfuneralhomesalemwv.com. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
