Jean "Jeanne" Ellen Brevold

Jean Ellen Brevold "Jeanne" Jeanne, age 68, of Waukesha, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022 after a courageous battle with emphysema and COPD. She was a cherished and beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Jeanne was born in Milwaukee,WI on January 24,1953 to Eugene Brevold and Ellen Eggleston. She grew up and attended school in Germantown, WI. In March of 1972, she married her high school sweetheart, Ricky Allen Girty. Together they had 2 children and raised them in Wisconsin and Wyoming. Jeanne was a funny, smart, loving and independent woman. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and had the ability to find happiness in her day-to-day routines. She brought happiness to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her and her upbeat personality was contagious to everyone that she crossed paths with. She very much enjoyed Facebook and the ability it gave her to stay in touch with friends and family. She enjoyed writing poetry, gardening, and loved butterflies. Her greatest joy in life though, was her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her son Dustin (Dawn) Girty; her daughter, Desiree Girty; her grandchildren, Skylar, Carlie, and Delaney Beaudry. Kendall and Kameron Girty; her brother Ryan (Mary) Brevold; her sister Sheila (Timothy) Hilgendorf; her brother, Mark Brevold and many friends and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband Rick, mother Ellen Eggleston and father Eugene Brevold. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 380 Bluemound Rd. (corner of Hwy J & JJ, 4 blocks south of Interstate 94) from 1:00 PM until time of the Memorial Service at 3:00 PM.
