Mary Ann B. Fahl, age 87, of Madison, WI, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022, at Countryside Manor in Sheboygan where she had been a resident for the past 5 years. Mary Ann was a Christmas baby, born on December 25, 1934 in Sheboygan, WI, the daughter of Albert and Mayme (Kellner) Fahl. Mary Ann attended St. Dominic Catholic Grade School in Sheboygan and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1957, continuing her education at the University of Wisconsin graduating with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy in 1961. Her love of children led her to a career working with children at the Milwaukee County Institute for Mental Health, the Mendota Mental Health Institute, and the Children’s Treatment Center. Mary Ann was a member and past president of the Wisconsin Occupational Therapy Association. As a lover of the Arts she participated in Madison’s Art Fair on the Square and the Artful Women’s Exhibit. She also sang with the Philharmonic Chorus of Madison for over twenty years. Mary Ann served on the Board of Directors of the Madison Children's Museum for twelve years. She was also very active in the National Womens Political Caucus. Being a member of the Friendship Force, she was able to travel to every country in Europe, (except Portugal), and also visited many other countries such as Japan, Russia, China and Australia. She loved nature and the great outdoors, taking her dogs for long walks brought her much joy. Survivors include her cousins; Shirley Wolfert of Sheboygan Falls, Kurt (Nancy) Grube of Appleton and Karen Grube (her husband: Ralph Meierer) of Bourbannais, Illinois. She is also survived by other cousins and many friends. Following Mary Ann’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a prayer services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Roselawn Cemetery Chapel in Monona, WI. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations can be sent in the Mary Ann’s name to any of her many charities that she supported, or sent to the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice W2850 State Road 28, Sheboygan Falls, WI, 53085. The Suchon Funeral Home and Cremation Service is serving the family. For online condolences, please visit www.suchonfh.com.
