William F. Smith, age 86, of Hot Springs, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022. He was born on December 11, 1935, in Berkley, Michigan, the son of Russell Fay Smith and Ariel Jenny Whitmer Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Michael Smith and Mark Smith; and one grandchild, Brandi Welborn. William was a deep-sea recovery diver for many years, worked as a real estate broker and owner of a gun shop. He enjoyed flying his single engine airplanes, summers in Florida and all things nautical. He faithfully attended and served at God’s Church for over fifty years. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. He is survived by one son, Dale Smith of Galloway, Ohio; two daughters and one son-in-law, Cynthia and Gary McKuin of Hot Springs and Donna Morgan of Hot Springs; six grandchildren, Jeremy McKuin, Misty Jones, Trent Morgan, April Nailgal, Joseph Smith and Dale Smith, Jr.; numerous great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of many wonderful friends.
