William "Bill" Herron Nampa, Idaho Obituary

Bill

William (Bill) Alexander Herron left this life unexpectedly January 19, 2022. Bill was born in Boise, Idaho on January 7, 1986, to Dave and Jody Herron. He was the youngest of five siblings, which included, Christi, Becky, Dan, and Julie. When he was young, he never met a stranger. He was energetic and happy. When he was four his family moved to Caldwell. This is where he grew up and made lifelong friends. Bill was a lifelong learner and soaked up information everywhere. He always liked to tinker and figure out how things work. His mind was always working, always thinking about something. We called him our "fountain of random knowledge," and he could always be counted on to already know or quickly figure out the answer to any question. In high school he worked part time with his best friend Gareth Carlson at the Teff Company bagging Teff by hand. In 2002 he graduated from Caldwell High School. After graduation he attended the University of Idaho and Boise State University where he studied Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science. After college, he returned to the Teff Company to work again. This time he devoted his thirst for knowledge and desire to make a difference, to building out a whole food safety program from scratch. Once that was up and running, he next turned his attention to building out the IT Infrastructure and software programs. He took great pride in his contributions to helping the company grow and was always thankful for the opportunity to have such varied, interesting, and challenging opportunities. He is remembered by his coworkers for bringing humor when it was needed, making them feel like an important part of the team, and for helping them not only with their work, but also their lives. Some of Bill’s interests included drawing, learning new things, and restoring old cars, and he recently bought a piano to start learning to play. Bill is survived by his parents and his siblings Christi, Becky, Dan, and Julie and his niece Alex. He will always be remembered as a kindhearted, caring person and loving family member. We’ll miss his quirky sense of humor, encyclopedic knowledge of random bits of information, and his presence in our lives. He is loved. Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 5645 S Maple Grove St in Boise with a viewing from 12:00 to 12:45 PM prior to the services.
