Carol Moulder Obituary

Carol Burnett Moulder went home to the Lord on January 19, 2022. Carol was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina to Cecil and Edna Burnett and graduated from Spartanburg High School. She later became a technical writer for technology companies in the Atlanta area.

Carol is predeceased by her husband, Ted Moulder of Cumming, Georgia, sister, Judy Klinck of Fayetteville, North Carolina and stepson Matthew Fields of Atlanta, Georgia.

Carol is survived by her brother-in-law, Earl F. Klinck II (Fred) Col. US Army Retired, niece, Amanda Klinck, of Fayetteville and nephew Stephen Klinck, wife Sue Klinck and grandnephews, Emory, and Lewyn, of London, England, as well as her stepdaughter, Shayna Moulder of Cumming.

Carol was known for her sense of humor and lighthearted spirit, for her warmth and her laugh. A loving wife, sister, aunt, and stepmother, she made invaluable connections with her family and friends. True to her character, Carol always had a way of delivering a perfectly timed joke or word of advice, both full of insight and honesty.

She adored spending time with her grandnephews.  Carol was also a great lover of books, dogs, and Diet Coke. She usually had one, if not all three of these, nearby. Her passion for reading often showed in her thoughtful, well-written letters and messages to the people she cared about most.

While Carol’s early years were filled with youthful adventure, later in life she took great joy in simple pleasures. A trip to the salon to get her hair or nails done with a friend was one of her most treasured rituals. And even though her nail polish never lasted as long as she would like, Carol was, and will always be, a beautiful soul.

A graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park in Spartanburg, South Carolina at a later date.  Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to your local animal rescue organization.
