Ms. Louvenia F. Trigg Obituary

Louvenia Fay Trigg, affectionately known as ‘Vennie’ began life’s journey on September 19, 1958 at General Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the second of three children born to Robert L. and Elzadie Trigg.

A lifelong resident of Kansas City, Vennie attended Yeager Elementary School and was a 1976 graduate of East High School.

From there Louvenia began her 30+ years’ work career as a computer specialist, graphic artist, as well working in other fields.

Vennie became the mother of two sons – Sergio and Cedrick. They in turn made her the proud grandmother of five grandchildren.

Louvenia was an artist, musician; she baked, crocheted, knitted, sewed, and loved to dance. Another love she had was for rock and roll music. Oftentimes she would attend music shows to listen to her brother William and his band play. Vennie was and forever will be William’s most ardent fan.

Louvenia was an agreeable, fearless person. She was one who did not mind giving you the shirt off her back, but when you earned her ire (hopefully not permanently) and most likely with justification, you were an a**hole. Despite her anger or disappointment, Louvenia would reach out close the divide and continued to love. Her love lasted until the very end.

Life’s journey ended for Vennie on January 17, 2022. She leaves behind her parents, Robert L. and Elzadie Trigg, two sons, Sergio Trigg and Cedrick Trigg-Diamparo, two siblings, Sandra Wilson and William Trigg, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Life will not nor can ever be the same again. A limb has been permanently removed from the Trigg family tree. In this time when the heavy anchor of sorrow attempts to moor our hearts to despair, let us seek solace in the freedom that Vennie’s spirit now enjoys, able to make its way to a place of peace and joy knowing that one day, we will all be united again.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022, 2:00pm at Watkins Heritage Chapel. Interment St. Mary Cemetery. visitation will be from 1pm-2pm at the chapel. Service conducted by Watkins Heritage Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
