Sister Mary Carolyn Maness RSM

On January 17, 2022 Sister Mary Carolyn's life changed as she received fullness of eternal life.

Sister Mary Carolyn was born in Lebanon, Missouri on January 3, 1942. She entered the Sisters of Mercy in 1965 and professed perpetual vows in 1976. She earned a Cerificate, St. John's School of Nursing, Springfield, Missouri in 1963, a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work at St. Louis University in 1977 and a Master's Degree in Social Work at St. Louis University in 1987.

Sister Mary Carolyn ministered as a house nurse, McAuley Hall, St. Louis 1975-1976; Social Worker, McAuley Hall, 1978-1981; Pastoral worker with senior citizens, Visitation Parish, St. Louis, 1981-1983; Social Worker, Cardinal Ritter Institute, 1983-1985; Social Worker, St. John's Mercy Medical Center, 1987-1992; Nursing floor administrator, St. John's Mercy Medical Center, 1995-1996; Staff Nurse in Kansas and Louisiana;  Social services and education in Arkansas and Springfield, Missouri; Nursing supervisor in Kansas and Social worker/Hospital volunteer in Arkansas. Sister relocated from Arkansas to Catherine's Residence in St. Louis.

Sister is survived by two sisters, Carmen McKenzie and Ralpha Corrick and their loving families.
