<p>I<span style="font-size:14px;">t is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Russell Homes at the Glenbrook Lodge, St. John&rsquo;s on Sunday, January 16, 2022 after a courageous battle with Parkinson&rsquo;s.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;">He was predeceased by his parents; Ruth and Melville Holmes, mother and father-in-law Nellie and Frank Beeso and his beloved dog Neuf.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;">George is survived by his loving wife Helen (Beeso), three brothers: Jim, Gary and Ron, two sisters: Vera (Paul) Clark and Viola (Ron deceased) Desbien, brother-in-law Kevin (Stella) Beeso, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, many friends whom he cherished, as well as a circle of other relatives and friends.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Resting at Dunphy&rsquo;s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. As per Covid-19 Level 4 Restrictions, the Covid Passport and a Photo ID will be required to attend the Visitation and only one bubble will be permitted to enter the funeral home at a time.&nbsp; &nbsp;</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;">Due to the current situation with Covid-19, cremation will take place following the visitation and a celebration of George&rsquo;s Life will be held at a later date.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>No Flowers by request</strong>, if friends so desire, donations in George&rsquo;s memory may be made to the Parkinson&rsquo;s Society of Newfoundland, Childrens wish Foundation or a charity of one&rsquo;s choice.</span></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:16px;"><em><strong>&ldquo;Those asleep in the dust of the earth will awaken&rdquo;&nbsp; Daniel 12:2</strong></em></span></p>

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Russell Homes at the Glenbrook Lodge, St. John’s on Sunday, January 16, 2022 after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s.

He was predeceased by his parents; Ruth and Melville Holmes, mother and father-in-law Nellie and Frank Beeso and his beloved dog Neuf.

George is survived by his loving wife Helen (Beeso), three brothers: Jim, Gary and Ron, two sisters: Vera (Paul) Clark and Viola (Ron deceased) Desbien, brother-in-law Kevin (Stella) Beeso, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, many friends whom he cherished, as well as a circle of other relatives and friends.

Resting at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
