Robert Lynn Edwards, 51, of Pine Bluff, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at his home.  He was born August 2, 1970, in Pine Bluff, to Robert Wade and Joyce Lee Kemp Edwards.  He was a graduate of Watson Chapel High School, and following graduation, he served in the United States Navy as a C.T.I. and Spanish Interpreter.

After he was honorably discharged from the Navy, he began working for the Arkansas Department of Corrections.  In his early years, he was part of the Emergency Response Team, and finally serving as a Lieutenant until health issues necessitated an early retirement.

He loved sports, especially the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Pittsburgh Steelers.  This past Saturday, he enjoyed watching the Razorbacks basketball win over the LSU Tigers.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents.

He will be missed by his wife, Melanie Campbell Edwards, whom he married January 6, 1998, in Pine Bluff, as well as his children, Kaley Edwards (Derik), Morgan Edwards, and C.J. Edwards.  He is also survived by a brother, James Edwards (Rena), and a sister, Brandi England (Brandyn).

Visitation with the family will be 5-7:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Robinson and Fuller White Hall Funeral Chapel with cremation following.
