Chabot, Carol Ann

Carol passed away at St. Paul’s hospital in Saskatoon, SK on January 13, 2022 with family at her side.  She was born in Eastend, SK on July 10, 1943 and raised in the Ravenscrag area.

She is predeceased by her parents, Christine and Albert Heth and sister Lorraine Zehl and nephew, Rick Zehl, In laws, Lucien and Bernice Chabot, brother-in-law, Ron Chabot.

Survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Gerald; Son, Curtis (Kerrie), grandchildren, Brittini Chabot, Chantelle Chabot (Mario Ladouceur), Kassie Chabot (Josh Schneider) and son, Brian, grandchild, Chelsea Holmedal (Joel); great grandchildren, Charlie and Brynn; brother-in-law, Don Zehl, Laura Lee, Shelley. Sister-in-law’s, Brenda, Terry Siegle (Gary), Yvonne Rea, brother-in-law’s, Doug (Joyce), Richard (Eileen), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carol grew up on the family farm outside of Eastend, SK. When she was sixteen the family relocated to Maple Creek, SK. She was an animal lover and had a special cat named Tiger, to which she held dear to her heart. When she moved to Maple Creek she met the love of her life, Gerald, and they were married on July 22, 1961 in Maple Creek, SK, soon after, Curtis arrived in 1962 and then Brian in 1963.

Carol had a special talent playing the accordion and guitar. She and her sister Lorraine performed music at a number of local concerts. Carol had a wide variety of jobs from working in the service industry to working at the SAAN store. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and most recently listening and dancing with Gerald to their musical neighbors down the block. This brought her great joy and happiness.

Carol will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew her.
