<p>Guy Monroe Nesmith, age 80, of Bethel, Oklahoma, died Thursday, January 13, 2022, in Ada, Oklahoma. He was born on Thursday, May 29, 1941, to Roy McLellan and Lite Claremont Hamman Nesmith in Bethel, Oklahoma.&nbsp;</p> <p>Guy was a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.&nbsp; He worked for McCurtain County Road Department for many years before his retirement.&nbsp; Guy loved his family and spending time with his two grandsons: working on his 1962 Corvette with his son-in-law, raising a garden every year, and eating breakfast at the Triangle on Friday mornings with all his friends.&nbsp; Guy was a loving father, grandfather, uncle, and friend that will be missed by all who knew him.</p> <p>Guy is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Tom Nesmith, Mack Nesmith and Leon Nesmith.&nbsp;</p> <p>He is survived by his wife, Sue Nesmith of Bethel, Oklahoma; his son, Steve Nesmith of Hugo, Oklahoma; his daughter and son in law, Amanda and Tyler Rhynes of Ada, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Sam and Ben Rhynes of Ada, Oklahoma; several nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.&nbsp;</p> <p>A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Battiest School Auditorium in Battiest, Oklahoma with Pastor David Hardin officiating. Interment will follow at the Bethel Cemetery in Bethel, Oklahoma.&nbsp; Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. on Friday, January 21, 2022, at the Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.</p> <p>Pallbearers will be Kevin Blake, Kerry Hardaway, Terrance Axton, Ricky Johnson, David Marable and Wesley Davis.</p> <p>Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob Woods, Don Walker, James Davis, Jimmy LeForce and Matt Phillips.</p> <p>Serving Our Community One Family at a Time&hellip;</p>

Obituary

Guy Monroe Nesmith, age 80, of Bethel, Oklahoma, died Thursday, January 13, 2022, in Ada, Oklahoma. He was born on Thursday, May 29, 1941, to Roy McLellan and Lite Claremont Hamman Nesmith in Bethel, Oklahoma.
