<p>Doris Jane (Harris) Bray (November 14, 1945&nbsp;- January 13, 2022) passed away at the age of 76 Thursday, January 13th surrounded by her husband Fred, her children David, Jeff, and Tonya, her brother Stanley, her daughter-in-law Sarah, and her granddaughter Abby. Born in Schults, Doris lived on Mt. Fork Ranch near Broken Brow. She and her family traveled the world for many years, living in Cincinnati, Puerto Rico, Belgium, and Spain before returning to McCurtain County. Doris was an avid gardener, known for her extensive collection of flowers, plants, and vegetables&mdash;her garden was full of everything from towering sunflowers to fresh, sweet tomatoes. During the growing season, she and her husband Fred would can and enjoy many vegetables and jellies. She was a true gourmet chef, well known for her hot and cold soups, that she often shared with homebound community members. She was a generous and caring woman who dedicated much of her life to helping others. She worked as the Director of the Broken Brow Senior Citizen Center, where she helped rejuvenate the programs and services. She was a Ruling Elder of the First Presbyterian Church, where she served as the Clerk of the Session and taught Sunday school for many years. In her later years, she was a tireless campaigner for rare diseases. She spent hours doing her own research and worked with rare disease organizations. She served on several panels where she shared her own medical information and experience, helping to advance research and the development of new treatments. Doris will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Harris and Lottie Barnes Harris of Schults, her twin brother David Harris, her brothers Claude, Benjamin, Robert, Hiram, William, Willie B., and Larry, and her sisters Martha Louise and Dorothy Maxine. She&rsquo;s survived by her husband Fred of the home, her son David and his wife Sarah of Franklin, Ohio, her son Jeff and his wife Kristen of Boston, Massachusetts, her daughter Tonya and her husband Alex of Wrightwood, California, and her brother Stanley Harris and wife Susan of Columbus, NC, and sister Lucille Banzahf and husband Darrell of McCook, NE. She is also survived by her four grandkids, Nikki, Abby, Kyle, and Julianna, and her great-grandchildren Mikayla and Jordan and their father Eric Bower.</p> <p>Visitation will be Monday, January 17, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Bunch Singleton Funeral Home.</p> <p>Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Broken Bow with Pastor Eveline Steele officiating. Interment will follow at Hochatown Cemetery under the direction of Bunch Singleton Funeral Home.</p> <p>A family dinner will be served at 12:00 p.m. following the services at First Presbyterian Church of Broken Bow.</p>

Visitation will be Monday, January 17, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Bunch Singleton Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Broken Bow with Pastor Eveline Steele officiating. Interment will follow at Hochatown Cemetery under the direction of Bunch Singleton Funeral Home.

A family dinner will be served at 12:00 p.m. following the services at First Presbyterian Church of Broken Bow.
