Miriam Jean Deerwester Obituary

Miriam Jean Deerwester, 86, of Findlay passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, January 14, 2022. She was born in Findlay, Ohio on September 23, 1935 to the late L. Wendell and Agnes G. (MacMurray) Caldwell. Miriam married William A. "Bill" Deerwester on March 31, 1963 and he survives. Miriam is also survived by her children: Susan L. (James) Newell of Fairborn, OH and Todd W. (Kristen) Deerwester of Findlay, OH, grandchildren; Sophia Newell, Skylar Deerwester, Schae Deerwester, and Samuel Deerwester, her brother; David E. Caldwell of Sterling Heights, MI. She was preceded in death by her brother Donald R. Caldwell. Miriam was a 1953 graduate of Findlay High School and a graduate of Tiffin University. She worked for Marathon Oil company as an executive secretary until she had children and later worked for the University of Findlay as an administrative assistant. Miriam was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and sang faithfully in the church choir. Miriam loved to sew and to watch nature right out of her home windows especially the deer and birds. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January, 18, 2022 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Richard Purvis officiating. Burial will follow in Knollcrest Gardens. Visitation will be held on Monday January 17, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 pm and one hour prior to the service (10:00-11:00am) on Tuesday. Memorials can be made to the St. Paul's United Methodist Church Choir or Bridge Home Health and Hospice. The family would like to thank Bridge Home Health and Hospice for their loving care.
