Margaret Younger
Margaret "Margie" Younger, of Wellington, Kansas, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at her home in Wellington, Kansas at the age of 82. Margaret was born the daughter of Everett "Bus" and Grace (Disney) Schlotterback on September 21, 1939 in Hays, Kansas. Margaret had a passion for many things in her life such as gardening, cooking, sewing, and reading. Those close to her knew she was always working on one of her crossword puzzle books. Margaret loved and spoiled her pets, especially her dog Hank. She had a great sense of humor and was always being ornery in one way or another. But the thing she cherished most in life was her family and all the time she had to spend with them. Survivors include her daughter, Jodi Weir and husband Chris Craig of Wellington, Kansas; son, Jerome T. Younger and wife Sue of Lawrence, Kansas; daughter, Christi Younger of Hutchinson, Kansas; son, Jason L. Younger of Hutchinson, Kansas; grandson, Garrett Younger and wife Yao of St. Paul, Minnesota; grandson, Adam Younger and wife Tracy of Naperville, Illinois; grandson, Casy Weir of Wellington, Kansas; granddaughter, Tiara Younger of Olathe, Kansas; granddaughter, Shantel Field and husband Bryce of Hutchinson, Kansas; granddaughter, Justina Sweat of Forney, Texas; 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Jo Sleezer; her blended family members, Gretchen, Molly, Maggie, Luke, their spouses and children along with her constant companion Hank. Margie loved them all! She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Tom Schlotterback and Bill Schlotterback, and grandson, Justin Weir. There are no services planned at this time as cremation has taken place. The family has asked in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to TECH Inc.
