Steven Wayne Colson

Steven Wayne Colson, age 57, of Westminster, died Saturday, January 8, 2022, at his home. <br/><br/>He was born July 19, 1964, in Olney, Maryland, the son of father Kenneth Colson and wife Carolyn of Westminster, and Mother Barbara Keller (nee Combs) formerly of Taneytown, and her husband the late John Keller. <br/><br/>Steve grew up with a love of motocross and playing guitar. He was exceptional guitar player and musician. He played for several different bands in the 80’s, such as Life or Death and A.K.A. Jeff and Steve. He was proud to have played places, such as Hammerjacks and played at the Preakness in 1991. He later started giving guitar lessons out of his home. He was very good with teaching kids. Steve was a compassionate person with a soft heart. He loved animals, especially cats. He was very close with his family and spoke to his parents every day. Steve will be terribly missed by his family and friends. His beautiful smile and his beautiful eyes will never be forgotten. Steve would want everyone to ROCK on!<br/><br/>Surviving in addition to his parents are his sister Shelley Ostrum and husband Ray and sister Alisha Lauritzen; predeceased by sister Kelley Colson; also survived by three nephews; one great nephew and two nieces; many aunts, Uncles, and cousins; and Longtime friend Kim Jenkins. <br/><br/>Gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, January 21, 2022, from 3:00-5:00 PM, at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD 21784 (beside South Carroll High School). Steven Wayne Colson, age 57, of Westminster, died Saturday, January 8, 2022, at his home.

He was born July 19, 1964, in Olney, Maryland, the son of father Kenneth Colson and wife Carolyn of Westminster, and Mother Barbara Keller (nee Combs) formerly of Taneytown, and her husband the late John Keller.
