Wallace Phillip Lohmann Obituary

Wallace Phillip Lohmann was born on November 17, 1925 at home in Goodhue County, rural Zumbrota, Minnesota. His parents were the late Phillip and Esther (Budensiek) Lohmann. Wallace attended country school as he worked on the family farm.   He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged.  Wallace returned to Goodhue County where he continued to work with the father, Phillip on the family farm.  After his father passed away, Wallace and his mother, Esther moved into Zumbrota.  

On September 13, 1980 Wallace was united in marriage with Rose Mary Blume at the United Redeemer Lutheran Church in Zumbrota, Minnesota.  Wallace and Rose made their home in Zumbrota.  Wallace employed with the maintenance department with the City of Zumbrota for a couple years and then Goodhue County for over 20 years.  After retiring in 1995 Wallace and Rose enjoyed traveling.  

In 2018 Wallace and Rose made their home in Leaf Lake Township.  Wallace enjoyed gardening and growing flowers, roses were his specialty.   On January 8, 2022 Wallace passed away at the St. Williams Living Center in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota at 96 years of age.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.  Preceding Wallace in death were his parents, Phillip and Esther; siblings: Alvera, Irene and Grace.  

Wallace is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Rose Lohman; niece, Laurie Gray and nephew, Rober Gray; many other relatives and a host of friends.
