<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>It is with sadness that the family of Bob Desroches of Ste. Rose du Lac announces his passing on Friday, December 31, 2021.&nbsp; Bob passed away suddenly from a massive aneurism at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre at the age of 73 years.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Bob was born on February 21, 1948 in Ste. Rose du Lac, the 2nd eldest of 8 sons born to Jos and Cecile Desroches (nee Gamache).&nbsp; He married Lise Lemoine of Ste. Agathe, MB on September 8, 1973 and following the passing of Bob&#39;s father, they took over as owners of the Ste. Rose Solo store where they worked until they sold the business.&nbsp; In retirement, they moved to the lake and resided at Christiansen Beach for 11 years.&nbsp; Bob and Lise moved back to Ste. Rose 5 1/2 years ago where they were residing at the time of his passing.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Bob loved to read and enjoyed doing consulting work in the North.&nbsp; One of his proudest achievements was assisting in the opening of a Family Foods store in Thompson.&nbsp; Bob was active in the community of Ste. Rose serving on numerous committees over the years and was currently serving Ste. Rose de Lima Parish as a member of the parish finance council.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Bob was predeceased by his parents Jos and Cecile Desroches.&nbsp;</p> <p>He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish many fond memories; his wife Lise, his sons Stefan and wife Jennifer Desroches and Dominic Desroches, his grandchildren Ezra and Isaac Desroches, his brothers Ron (Lucille), Maurice (Rita), Gilbert (Wanda), Mike (Cathy), Donald (Brenda), Denis, Louis (Stephanie) and their families as well as his 5 brothers-in-law and their spouses along with extended family members and many friends.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Bob&#39;s cousin Anne shared the following: &quot;Bob was such a great guy.&nbsp; He was humble, approachable and always had a twinkle of mischief in his eye&quot;&nbsp; He will be missed, may he rest in peace.&nbsp;</p> <p>Lise and family would like to thank the EMT&#39;s for their quick response, and the entire staff at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre for their care and compassion.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p> <p>Funeral Service for Bob was held on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Ste. Rose de Lima Roman Catholic Church, Ste. Rose du Lac, MB&nbsp;</p> <p>Interment will take place at a future date.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Should friends so desire, please consider making a donation in memory of Bob to Ste. It is with sadness that the family of Bob Desroches of Ste. Rose du Lac announces his passing on Friday, December 31, 2021.  Bob passed away suddenly from a massive aneurism at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre at the age of 73 years.  

Bob was born on February 21, 1948 in Ste. Rose du Lac, the 2nd eldest of 8 sons born to Jos and Cecile Desroches (nee Gamache).  He married Lise Lemoine of Ste. Agathe, MB on September 8, 1973 and following the passing of Bob's father, they took over as owners of the Ste. Rose Solo store where they worked until they sold the business.  In retirement, they moved to the lake and resided at Christiansen Beach for 11 years.  Bob and Lise moved back to Ste. Rose 5 1/2 years ago where they were residing at the time of his passing.

Lise and family would like to thank the EMT's for their quick response, and the entire staff at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre for their care and compassion.   

Funeral Service for Bob was held on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Ste. Rose de Lima Roman Catholic Church, Ste. Rose du Lac, MB 

Interment will take place at a future date.
