Jaivin Hoskin
<p style="text-align: justify;">Jaivin Christian Hoskin, 17, was born to the proud parents of Dashonda Smith and the late Jamel Hoskin Sr. on September 28, 2004, in South Bend, IN. He attended Warren Central High School and Greater St. Mathew Church. Jaivin was a talented and gifted young man who loved making and recording his own music. He was very creative and often sketched custom unique shoe designs. Jaivin enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, watching football, especially Notre Dame. Family was important and a big part of his life.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Our Beloved Son, Brother, Grandson, Cousin and Friends leaves to Cherish his loving memory: Mother: Dashonda Smith; Five Siblings: Jamel Hoskin Jr., Jenesis Hoskin, Kasia Harris, Sakani Smith and Jamella Hoskin, all of South Bend, IN; Maternal Grandparents: Karen Anderson and Derrick (Casaundra) Smith of South Bend, IN; Paternal Grandparents: Gelaine Waters and Willie Jean Essisk. Special uncles Jason (Awani) Jones and George B. (Arcada) Black Jr., Special Great Aunts Monique (Dewayne) Miles and Rose Walton and Great- Grandfather Decator B. Smith. He also leaves a host of family, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Special Friends Tyler Cooper and Devonta Smith. </p> <p style="text-align: justify;">On December 28, 2021, our family lost a piece of a puzzle that won’t be the same. Jaivin transitioned, but we find comfort that he is reunited with his family on the other side. He was preceded in death by his father: Jamel Hoskin Sr., Great Grand Parents: Earlie Mae Love, Gelaine Waters, Florence Hoskin and Willie Rae Hoskin and Saint Clair Poindexter; Great Aunt: Sonya Black Jones; Granddad: James AKA Snap Essisk; Grandmother: Flores Hoskin.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">A Celebration of Life will take place on January 8, 2022, at 11 AM with a viewing one-hour prior Greater St. Mathew Church.
